The Beauport Inn is conveniently located just 1/2 mile west of Route 1, and about a mile from Ogunquit's Center; Ogunquit beach; and Playhouse. We're close to everything Ogunquit has to offer.
It's a wonderful location for an extended stay if you'd like to explore southern Maine. Kittery, York, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Portland are all an easy drive, providing a diversity of experiences.
DIRECTIONS
From the South
Take I-95 to Exit 7 in Maine ("The Yorks and Ogunquit"). Turn left at the stoplight onto Route 1 North. Drive 7 miles to Ogunquit. Shortly after you enter Ogunquit and pass the Ogunquit Playhouse, there will be a yellow blinking light which is Agamenticus/Clay Hill Rd. (The Meadowmere Resort will be on the right; Admiral's Inn is on the far left corner.) Turn left onto Agamenticus/Clay Hill Road. Drive about 1/2 mile, and just past the ball field and tennis courts on your left, you'll see the blue heron sign at 339 Clay Hill. Turn left onto the Beauport Inn driveway.
From the North
Take I-95 South to Exit 19 ("Wells"). Turn left at the exit and follow the sign to Route 1. Turn right on Route 1 to Ogunquit and pass through the small downtown section. At the yellow blinking light by the Admiral's Inn, turn right onto Agamenticus/Clay Hill Road. Drive about 1/2 mile, and just past the ball field and tennis courts on your left, you'll see the blue heron sign at 339 Clay Hill. Turn left onto the Beauport Inn driveway.
Summer traffic short cut to Beauport Inn on Clay Hill
On busy weekends in the summer, the traffic can back up for miles on Rt 1. Rather than driving directly into Ogunquit, please follow these directions when coming from the South.
Take the same Exit 7 ("The Yorks - Ogunquit") off I-95 in Maine. Turn North (left) on Rt. 1. Drive approximately 4.4 miles and take a left onto Logging Road. (Divine Chocolate shop is on the corner.) Follow Logging Rd until you get to a stop sign (approx. 1.7 miles) that says Clay Hill Rd. Another sign will point to the right, saying Beauport Inn. Take a right on Clay Hill and about 1.3 miles on the right is the Beauport Inn. Turn right onto the driveway.
